The Grimaldi Group supports My Avenir’s educational mission in Togo

For the third consecutive year, the Grimaldi Group has reaffirmed its commitment to education and social development in Togo by providing the free sea transport of a 40-foot High Cube container for the My Avenir Foundation’s educational initiative. Shipped from Valencia (Spain) aboard the Grande Senegal, the container departed on 4 June and arrived safely in early July in Lomé, where it will support the next stage of the association’s mission.

While previous years’ shipments supplied construction materials, school furniture and educational resources that helped establish and expand the school, this latest delivery marks a significant step forward in the project’s development. In addition to more than 1,000 school uniforms, classroom furniture and a pickup truck, the container carried the equipment needed to set up electrical and mechanical workshops. Once operational, these workshops will enable My Avenir to offer high-quality vocational training tailored to the needs of the local labour market, equipping young people with practical skills and improving their employment prospects. The donated pickup truck will also support the school’s daily activities by facilitating the transport of teachers, food and supplies.

Located in the rural community of Dalavé, approximately 20 km from Lomé, My Avenir provides primary, secondary and vocational education, with a special focus on orphaned and disadvantaged children. Beyond ensuring access to schooling, the project aims to empower young people with the knowledge and skills needed to build sustainable livelihoods and contribute to the economic development of their communities.

Funded entirely through private donations, My Avenir continues to grow thanks to the dedication of partners who share its vision. By supporting this initiative for the third year running, the Grimaldi Group has once again demonstrated how its global maritime network and logistics expertise can create tangible and lasting social value in the communities it serves.
