Aid for Gaza on the Eco Barcelona

The Grimaldi Group contributed to the humanitarian mission promoted by the organization Music for Peace, aimed at supporting the civilian population of the Gaza Strip affected by the ongoing conflict, by offering free sea transport from Genoa to Catania for two containers of humanitarian aid.

The initiative also involved Spinelli Srl, a terminal operator group based in Genoa, which provided the two 20-foot containers, transported them to the loading point and then delivered them full to the embarkation terminal.

The cargo departed from Genoa on 1 September aboard the Grimaldi Group vessel Eco Barcelona and arrived in Catania on 3 September. From there, the containers will be transferred to the port of Augusta, to continue their voyage towards Gaza.
