Green Transport Award to Grimaldi

Grimaldi Group was honoured with the Green Transport Award at the prestigious Automotive Leaders Awards, hosted by Mevdia, a dedicated automotive media house, which took place at the prestigious 12 Hay Hill in Mayfair, London, on 29 April. The jury praised the Italian shipping company as “a pivotal example of what is necessary to become a Green Transport specialist.”

The award recognizes Grimaldi’s strong commitment to sustainability through cutting-edge strategies. These include the use of pioneering lithium-ion batteries on board its vessels, together with other investments to reduce emissions during port stays, a fuel-efficient fleet, and a long-term vision focused on lowering the environmental impact of maritime logistics.

Accepting the award on behalf of the Group was Commercial, Logistics & Operations Director Costantino Baldissara, who emphasized Grimaldi’s dedication to investing in green innovation across its operations, and its role as a leader in sustainable transport solutions within the global shipping industry.
