Finnlines prepares for leadership change
A
leadership transition is set to take place at the Grimaldi Group company
Finnlines Plc, following Tom Pippingsköld’s announcement in December to
the Board of Directors of his imminent retirement.
Tom
Pippingsköld will remain as President and CEO until 28 February 2025.
Meanwhile, the Board of Directors has appointed Vice President and Deputy CEO,
COO Thomas Doepel as his successor, effective 1 March 2025.
Both
Pippingsköld and Doepel have been key members of Finnlines’ Executive Committee
since 2013.
The
Chairman of the Board, Emanuele Grimaldi, expressed gratitude for Tom Pippingsköld’s contribution and
confidence in the upcoming leadership transition. “Finnlines’ Board of
Directors would like to thank Tom Pippingsköld for his dedication, prudent
management and strong performance in Finnlines since 2013, when he joined the
company.” On behalf of the Board, Mr Grimaldi warmly welcomed Thomas Doepel
to the helm as the new President and CEO from March, highlighting that he “has
held important management positions at Finnlines since he first joined the
company in 2010.”
