Finnlines prepares for leadership change

A leadership transition is set to take place at the Grimaldi Group company Finnlines Plc, following Tom Pippingsköld’s announcement in December to the Board of Directors of his imminent retirement.

Tom Pippingsköld will remain as President and CEO until 28 February 2025. Meanwhile, the Board of Directors has appointed Vice President and Deputy CEO, COO Thomas Doepel as his successor, effective 1 March 2025.

Both Pippingsköld and Doepel have been key members of Finnlines’ Executive Committee since 2013.

The Chairman of the Board, Emanuele Grimaldi, expressed gratitude for Tom Pippingsköld’s contribution and confidence in the upcoming leadership transition. “Finnlines’ Board of Directors would like to thank Tom Pippingsköld for his dedication, prudent management and strong performance in Finnlines since 2013, when he joined the company.” On behalf of the Board, Mr Grimaldi warmly welcomed Thomas Doepel to the helm as the new President and CEO from March, highlighting that he “has held important management positions at Finnlines since he first joined the company in 2010.
