The Grande Argentina takes part in a helicopter SAR exercise

On 17 June, while on her way from Libreville (Gabon) to Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Spain), the Grimaldi Group’s multipurpose ro-ro vessel Grande Argentina was invited to participate in a helicopter SAR (Search & Rescue) exercise conducted by MRCC (Maritime Rescue and Coordination Centre) Tenerife. This simulated the recovery of a person from a merchant vessel close to Tenerife, by the rescue helicopter Helimer 201.

The drill was carried out successfully and the Grande Argentina’s crew were complimented by local authorities on their cooperative spirit and professionalism. After the exercise, the ship resumed her voyage.
