The Grande Marocco rescues four people in the Atlantic Ocean

On 20 May, while travelling from Halifax (Canada) to Wilmington (Delaware, USA), the Grimaldi Group’s multipurpose ro-ro vessel Grande Marocco received a distress call from the Norfolk coastal station: four Dutch people intending to cross the Atlantic Ocean on their rowing boat Alexia urgently needed help.

Having reached the stricken boat at night and in bad weather conditions, the crew of the Grande Marocco rescued its four occupants and took care of them until their disembarkation, the following day, in Wilmington Bay, where they were entrusted to a US Coast Guard patrol boat.
